Bressanone and the Eisack Valley
Art and culture aren’t neglected on a holiday on the farm.
The diocesan town of Bressanone has all kinds of treasures, such as the cathedral, Parish Church of St. Michael with its famous white tower, the cloisters, Hofburg palace, the diocesan and crib museum, the pharmacy museum and round tours with the night watchman.
Or you can just stroll around in the historic old town, enjoy a delicious ice cream and do a bit of shopping.
The Acquarena adventure pool offers fun all year round and also has a sauna and solarium.
Climbers will love the new climbing gym “Vertikale” in Bressanone. The new climbing centre has a volume of 7,000 cubic meters, is 20 meters high and offers a climbing area of 1,500 square meters – indoor & outdoor – as well as on a boulder area of 400 square meters.
In Neustift, not far from Bressanone, is the Augustinian monastery and in Bolzano, our provincial capital, there are many museums, such as the archaeological museum which is home to the famous glacier mummy, Oetzi, or the Natural History Museum.
Hiking and mountain biking fans, and in winter, skiers and snowboarders, will find plenty to keep them occupied on the Plose, Bressanone’s local mountain, including long hiking trails, kilometres of pistes, a fun park for freestylers and the longest downhill run in South Tyrol.
There are also several hiking routes that pass directly by the Stocknerhof, such as the path to Lake Radlsee, or the Keschtnweg trail to Feldthurns.
